Chianti Classico Experience Houston

I had the pleasure of attending the Chianti Classico Experience at the beautiful Post Oak Hotel Houston today. I love Italian wines and Chianti is one of my favorite regions. It was an honor to taste and learn from the wine producers of Chianti Classico wines.

A bit about Chianti Classico: Chianti is a wine region in Tuscany, Italy. “Classico” wine has to respect specific rules; minimum ratio of 80% Sangiovese grapes and max 20% of other red grapes of the area.

Wine and food pairings: I’m sure what you really want to know is what to eat with Chianti Classico! It can be paired with a variety of foods; grilled meats, game, aged cheeses and spicy ethnic foods like Chinese, Indian, African, Japanese and of course Italian!
